John Cardone

Founding partner John Cardone came into the industry from the musical instrument industry working on the once mecca of the music world, 48th Street in Manhattan.

He was hand-picked by then Shure Representative Peter Schmitt of the F. Edwin Schmitt Co. to replace Mike Solomon who was tapped to work directly for Shure at their Evanston Il. Plant as their youngest product manager.

Throughout John’s career, he maintained close contact with Mike through various manufacturer's representative companies only to be reunited with Mike at the Beyerdynamic microphone company in 1992.  

While at Beyerdynamic, John worked with various consultants and integrators to spearhead the development of the Sound Contracting Series of microphones which firmly positioned beyer’s presence globally in this category.

John then began discussions with Mike Solomon about leaving Beyer and starting their own rep firm.  Anticipating the worst from senior management upon the news of their departure,  John and Mike did not expect Beyer to give them the line so they planned around that.  However, as luck would have it, Beyer fully understood the benefits of having two ex-product managers representing Beyer for the North East.

On July 14th, Cardone, Solomon & Associates officially opened for business.

Fast forward 25 years to 2022.  Mike and John have built a world-class and well-respected manufacturer representative firm. They have had the pleasure of recruiting some of the finest talent available in the industry and have adjusted the firm's mission to keep in step with the ever-changing technologies deployed.
